Statement on equality and diversity
Last updated: February 2026
At Jobriver we are convinced that diversity and inclusion are essential foundations for innovation and success in the IT industry. As a specialised IT job board, we actively advocate for equal opportunities and non-discriminatory access to career opportunities.
Our commitment
Jobriver is committed to providing a platform that welcomes everyone regardless of gender, age, ethnic origin, religion or belief, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical or mental abilities, nationality or social background.
Gender-neutral language and the (m/f/d) note
In our job listings and on our platform we use gender-neutral wording or mark job titles with the suffix (m/f/d) – for male, female and diverse. This is to ensure that all qualified people feel equally addressed.
Important note: All job titles and content on Jobriver are addressed without exception to all genders (m/f/d). Even if, for better readability, only one gender form is used in individual cases or the (m/f/d) suffix is not explicitly stated, all genders and identities are always meant equally. The shortened form of language is for editorial reasons only, contains no judgement and excludes no one.
This applies equally to job listings posted by employers, editorial content, blog posts, career guides and all other texts on this platform.
Equal opportunities for all
We expressly encourage people of all backgrounds to apply for the jobs posted on Jobriver. Qualification and suitability should be the only criteria in personnel selection.
We expect all employers who use our platform to:
- Comply with the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG)
- Word job listings free of discrimination
- Conduct application processes fairly and transparently
- Base decisions solely on qualification and suitability
Diversity in the IT industry
The IT industry thrives on different perspectives and experiences. Teams that are diverse develop better solutions and are more innovative. We support initiatives that promote the underrepresented in the tech industry and are committed to removing barriers.
Accessibility
We continuously work to make our platform accessible so that all users – regardless of their individual requirements – can use Jobriver without restriction.
Reporting violations
If you discover discriminatory content on our platform or notice a violation of the principles of equal treatment, please let us know immediately. Contact us at [email protected] or use our contact form.
Liability notice for third-party job listings
The job listings published on Jobriver are created and posted independently by the respective employers. Jobriver assumes no liability for the accuracy, completeness or legality of job listings provided by third parties. In particular, the advertising companies are themselves responsible for ensuring that their listings comply with the requirements of the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG) and are worded free of discrimination.
If the (m/f/d) suffix or a comparable gender-neutral designation is missing from a job listing, this does not mean any restriction of the applicant pool. All jobs on Jobriver are generally addressed to people of any gender, origin, age and identity.
Legal framework
These principles are based, among other things, on the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG), the European Charter of Fundamental Rights and the applicable anti-discrimination directives of the European Union. The use of our platform is subject to our Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
